💡 General Questions
Understanding what CAPMA is and who it's for.
What is CAPMA?
CAPMA (Construction Alliance Private Members Association) is a membership association for people who value community, honest dealing, and mutual support. We connect tradespeople, families, professionals, and small business owners, providing tools and resources to help members work together effectively. Our global community shares common values and supports each other through networking, resources, and genuine connection.
Is CAPMA a company or business?
No. CAPMA is a private membership association — a body of members who have agreed to associate under a common constitution. We are governed by our own rules and constitution, created by and for our members. CAPMA exists to serve its membership, not commercial interests.
Who can join CAPMA?
Membership is open to adults who agree to our constitution and principles. We welcome tradespeople, professionals, families, retirees, business owners, and anyone who shares our values of community support and honest dealing. Our membership spans globally, with members from various countries united by common values.
Is CAPMA only for tradespeople?
No. While we have many trade members, CAPMA is for everyone. We have families, professionals, suppliers, retirees, and people from all walks of life. If you value community, want to connect with like-minded people, and appreciate what we offer, CAPMA may be right for you. The "Construction Alliance" in our name reflects our origins, but our community has grown far beyond that.
What makes CAPMA different from other membership organisations?
CAPMA is built on genuine community, not just networking. Our members share common values and support each other in meaningful ways. We provide practical tools like service agreement templates, dispute resolution, trust structures, and a real network of people you can rely on. We're not a directory or a leads service — we're a community where relationships matter.

📜 Trust Structure Questions
Understanding Natural Law Trusts and how they work.
What is a Natural Law Trust?
A Natural Law Trust is a trust arrangement that can be used for asset protection, estate planning, and wealth preservation. Trusts are a long-established lawful tool used by families and businesses for centuries. They provide a way to hold and manage assets with privacy, protection, and clear succession planning.
Do I need a trust to be a CAPMA member?
No. Trusts are completely optional. Many members find them useful, but membership itself doesn't require one. You can join as a member and decide later if a trust structure suits your needs. There's no pressure either way.
How much does a Natural Law Trust cost?
The Natural Law Trust package is $950 (one-time purchase, members only). This includes a complete customised trust deed, all supporting documentation, step-by-step setup guidance, operational templates, and ongoing member support. Additional trusts can be purchased at the same rate.
What can I use a trust for?
Trusts can hold virtually any type of asset — real estate, vehicles, equipment, investments, business interests, intellectual property, digital assets, and more. People use them for asset protection, estate planning, privacy, succession planning, and preserving wealth across generations. Your trust deed specifies how assets should be managed.
What support do I get with my trust?
CAPMA members who purchase a trust receive comprehensive support including: step-by-step guidance through setup, all necessary documentation and templates, access to educational materials, ongoing support from experienced members, and answers to questions as you operate your trust. You're never left to figure it out alone.
⚙️ Practical Questions
How things work in practice.
How do I find other members in my area?
Members have access to our member directory, which you can search by location, trade, or service type. You can also connect with members through our community channels. The directory makes it easy to find trusted people near you for services, collaboration, or just connection.
How does dispute resolution work?
If a dispute arises between members, CAPMA provides mediation services. Our process focuses on fair resolution based on the agreements made and our association principles. This is a member benefit that often resolves matters more quickly and affordably than other approaches. We encourage members to work things out in good faith.
Can I still work with non-members?
Absolutely. CAPMA membership doesn't restrict who you can work with. Many members continue their regular business activities while also enjoying the benefits of the CAPMA community. Membership adds to your options — it doesn't limit them.
What service agreements does CAPMA provide?
Members have access to professional service agreement templates designed for member-to-member transactions. These agreements clearly outline terms, expectations, and dispute resolution processes. They're designed to protect both parties and make working together straightforward and clear.
How do I access member resources?
Once your membership is activated, you'll receive login credentials for the member area. From there you can access the member directory, download templates and documents, view educational materials, and connect with the community. Everything is organised and easy to navigate.
